Prayer Group

Prayer Group meets on Tuesday lunchtimes.

There are two groups, one for Key Stage One and another for Key Stage Two. Both are well attended and offer children a chance to spend time together in prayer and praise. Sister Camilla Hunt from the Sisters of Mercy convent regularly joins us.

These are some of our children’s thoughts about Prayer Group:

“We do 4 prayers and they are Praise, Thank You, Ask and Sorry. At the beginning Mrs Wickes chooses someone to choose a cross and we pass it round to say the 4 prayers”

“Everyone gets to say a prayer”

“We sing songs and we have a laugh at some points”

“I feel confident to sing because I’m with everyone, and it makes me really happy”

“I like that we ask God to help someone who is in need”

“We learn about God and discuss the Gospel together”
