What is a FLO?

The role of a FLO is to work with families, parents, carers and pupils to enable pupils to have full access to educational opportunities, as well as overcome barriers to learning and participation. A FLO works directly with parents in a non-judgmental way, empowering them and their families to get the most out of educational opportunities and provide information and support with transition.

About me

I have been at St Marys Catholic School since 1998. I began as a mid-day supervisor and then as a TA. In recent years I have taken on the pastoral role whilst also being in the classroom. My passion of working with the children supporting them socially and emotionally, has led me to this important role as FLO. Both my son and daughter were educated at St Marys Catholic School, which started my journey within the community of the parish of St Marys.

Here for you

Should you need my support I will be on the playground several times a week. Also I can be contacted through the office, by asking for me in order to arrange a mutually convenient time.
